I HATE Veggies

I need help. I NEED to have veggies for dinner everyday and I HATE them. I cant find a way to eat them… Does anyone have any good recipes for veggies or know a site that can help. Thank you!

I am at my limit and need a lot of support.

I haven’t been online in about 2 weeks. Let me explain myself:  My 1st week in the diet I lost 11 pounds. I was so happy and determined to stay on track and loose more weight. Well The Dr sent me to take some labs (for the diet) and still following the diet I went along with my husband Saturday morning for our labs. I wasn’t able to take my labs that day because of something with my insurance and I had to fix the problem. Well, I ended up having to go the next week and did my labs. I was 2 weeks without doing the diet. I was back to my normal way of eating and not caring about a thing I put in my mouth. I should have stuck to the diet program even if I couldn’t go to the Dr’s without my labs. Well, I ended up going yesterday to my Dr. to see my lab results. I gained back 8 pounds and my doctor told me that my sugar is high. In his own words “the diabetes is knocking at your door” I got so disappointed in myself, I don’t want to be diabetic. It runs in my family from both sides and I know better I should take care of myself, I’m only 23 years old and have no children yet I have to take care of myself in order to not become diabetic and have a healthy life and pregnancy when I decide to become pregnant. I am so determined now, the doctor put me on some pills for diabetics just for a month. He said these pills should control it and after a month he will check me to see if it went away. I wasn’t labeled a “diabetic” yet but I am extremely scared to become one. I need a lot of support. Does anyone know what I am going threw? Anything would help I need to really stick to this diet this time. I need to change for me…..

Valentine No No….

Well, as you all know Valentine was yesterday and I totally messed up.  I was doing great threw out the day. i walked more then I usually do and I felt great until i got home and it was time to clean and make dinner.Well I started cleaning the whole condo when i ended up so tired to make my romantic valentine dinner. So instead my husband said “its valentine let’s eat something we like” as much as i KNEW i shouldn’t have said ok. I did. Its was getting late and I didn’t want to have dinner so late, cooking wasn’t going to happen so we ordered out.

 It really doesn’t matter what we had, just know it wasn’t healthy. My husband also gave me a small box of chocolates and said “only for today have some” it was a box of 5 that we each split. I feel so guilty today. but i am getting on track. Does anyone else feel guilty about what they had for valentines? Or am I the only sucker that messed up there diet.

1st week 11 pounds off!

yes! 11 pounds! I know it does not sound healthy but I believe a lot of it was water weight also :)
I have been sticking to this diet religiously this week and it paid off. NO CARBS. is the trick. Yes it is SO hard but if I can do it then anyone can!

My Husband lost 6 pounds this week. on the same diet! Let’s see next week how it goes. But I am so excited on getting to my lower 300’s I cant wait to finally be out of them lOl.

My Diet :o)

I started a diet program with my husband on feb. 6 , 2008. This program was assigned by my Dr. who put me on a easy to follow diet (which has not been so easy) and pills. The diet is hard because it consist of a lot of things I am not use to eating. But I have had so much success this week that if I have to follow it I will :) The diet is basically just breakfast, lunch & dinner. for breakfast I have 2 eggs (prepared however i like) 2 bacon strips (i don’t like pork so I buy the turkey bacon and a half a grapefruit. for lunch I have to have any lean meat, chicken, pork, fish ect. with all greens salad and a half a grapefruit.And for dinner i usually prepare the same any meat choice or fish with veggies and half a grapefruit. I have lost about 9 pounds in one week and i believe that this no carb. diet is so hard but works miracles.
I am also walking. 30 mins .. My goal is to walk up to 45 mins 5 days a week.
I believe the grapefruit has been such a big help to my weight loss this week thats why i never forget it!
I am also taking pills my Dr. sent me.
They are 3 pills at 10 am (one for potassium one for appetite and one water pill)
Then at 12 I have one more pill for my metabolism.
I also have 2 weight loss pills before lunch and dinner.
I have to say if it wasn’t for these pills I might not be losing weight. Because I was at a stage that i tried dieting and i wouldn’t lose a thing. so i am very happy right now :)
